Lancaster County is home to several quilt shows including the AQS (American Quilter’s Society). Why not consider an Authentic B&B as a hotel alternative during the show.

Lancaster County quilts are a work of art and a labor of love. For generations Amish and Mennonite women have handed down their traditions, skills, and quilt-making patterns. Traveling throughout Lancaster County, you’ll find signs offering quilts for sale, but never on a Sunday!

During the spring, throughout Lancaster County, Mud Sales have become a popular tradition. Here many locally made quilts are offered at auction. Our Amish and Mennonite neighbors hold quilting bees all winter long to prepare for these unique annual events.
