Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 1 C Vinegar
  • ¼ C Water
  • ½ C Sugar
  • 1 tsp Celery Seed
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seed
  • Veggies:

  • 1 Head Cabbage
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Large Carrot
  • 1 tsp Salt

Directions

  • Bring sauce to a boil and let cool.
  • Cut veggies up fine or use grater to shred.
  • Mix cooled sauce with fine veggies. Cover with ice cubes and let stand one hour.
  • Drain. Stir together. Portion into freezer bags and freeze. Thaw and individual bags of salad as needed. Enjoy this old family recipe all year long.
