Ingredients

  • 2 C. fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 2 T. lemon juice
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 T. cornstarch

Directions

  • Place peaches in saucepan with water, lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon. Bring to a boil; turn down heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Add cornstarch and simmer until sauce thickens. Serve over French toast, pancakes, or waffles.
  • VARIATION: You may change the fruit to 2 cups blueberries or 2 cups strawberries.
