Ingredients

  • 2 C. raw Uncle Ben’s converted rice
  • 2 lb. raw shrimp, cleaned & peeled
  • 1 lb. sausage, cut up
  • 1 can onion soup
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 8 oz. sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 sm. can tomato sauce
  • 1 stick butter, diced
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 C. chopped green onions
  • 3-4 bay leaves
  • 1 T. parsley

Directions

  • Mix together all ingredients and bake in a covered roasting pan at 350°F for 2 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving. Can substitute chicken instead of shrimp. Can be frozen.
