Crab Fondue with Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 cans crab meat
  • 1 C. chopped celery
  • 3 T. mayonnaise mixed with 1 T. mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. chives
  • 4 to 6 slices bread
  • Salt and paprika, to taste
  • Sliced Swiss cheese
  • 2 well beaten eggs with
  • 1 C. milk and dash of Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  • Mix first four ingredients and spread between slices of bread, then cut in two. Layer in greased casserole with slices of cheese between the layers. Pour over egg mixture; cover and bake for 40 minutes in moderate oven at 325 °F. Serve with a green salad and hot buttered cornbread. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
