Ingredients
- 1 C. all-purpose flour
- 2/3 C. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Pinch of ground cloves
- 1/2 C. milk
- 4 med. pears, peeled & cut in 1/2″ cubes
- 1/2 C. chopped pecans
- 3/4 C. brown sugar
- 1/4 C. butter
- 3/4 C. boiling water
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients; beat in milk until smooth. Stir in pears and pecans. Spoon into an ungreased 2 qt. baking dish. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, butter and water; pour over batter (do not stir). Bake, uncovered at 375 °F. for 45-50 minutes.
