Caramel Pear Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 C. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 4 med. pears, peeled & cut in 1/2″ cubes
  • 1/2 C. chopped pecans
  • 3/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 3/4 C. boiling water

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients; beat in milk until smooth. Stir in pears and pecans. Spoon into an ungreased 2 qt. baking dish. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, butter and water; pour over batter (do not stir). Bake, uncovered at 375 °F. for 45-50 minutes.
