red grapefruit – 1/2 per person
white granulated sugar
fresh berries – blackberries, raspberries, blueberries
Prepare grapefruit by cutting sections away from the skin. Separate sections from each other. Remove as much pith from the center of the fruit as possible.
Sprinkle the exposed fruit lightly with cinnamon and ginger.
Sprinkle with white sugar and drizzle with about a 1/2 T. of honey.
Fire up your mini torch and braise the tops of the fruit, melting the sugar and lightly browning but not burning the grapefruit. No mini torch? Broil on High.
Top with fresh berries, drizzle with a small amount of honey and serve.
