Balsamic Berry Blast
4 C. Mixed Berries (red or black raspberries, blackberries, blueberries), frozen or fresh
1 C. Orange Marmalade
1/2 C. Balsamic Vinegar
Place all ingredients in a heavy bottomed sauce pot.
Using Low heat begin to cook the berries. Stir occasionally.
Reduce to the consistency that suits you best.
Sauce may thicken a little during cooling. Sometimes adding a bit of your favorite homemade or store bought balsamic glaze will be just enough to gain the flavor depth you want.
This sauce is very forgiving of exact amounts of each of the ingredients and may take some adjustment. Strawberries do not make this sauce better and should be reserved for another use.
