6 pounds of apples
1/2 C. brown sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
¼ tsp. ground cloves
juice of 1 lemon
Wash the unpeeled apples and remove cores, and seeds. Cut into quarters (do not remove peels).
Place the apple quarters in slow cooker (do not add water). Cook on low for 8 – 12 hours.
Remove the fruit and puree in a blender. Return the pureed apples to the slow cooker.
Add the brown sugar, (or none if you prefer). Add the remaining ingredients.
Stir and cook on low for 8 – 12 hours.
If desired, use your preferred canning method to preserve.
