Hearty Hamburger Soup



1 lb. ground beef
4 C. water
1-14 1/2 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained
3 medium carrots
2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 medium onion, chopped
3/4 C. chopped celery
4 beef bouillon cubes
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1 C. cut fresh or frozen green beans

In a large saucepan, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the next ten ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes and carrots are tender; add beans. Cover and simmer 15 minutes longer or until the beans are tender. Serves 8 (2 quarts).
