Overnight French Toast

French Toast/Waffles/Pancakes/Crepes


1 C. brown sugar
2 T. light corn syrup
1/2 C. butter
2 granny smith apples, peeled and sliced
12 slices toasting bread
6 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 C. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon to sprinkle on top of bread

Thicken sugar, syrup and butter over med. heat; pour into 9x13 pan, place apple slices on top. Place 6 pieces of bread on top of syrup/apple slices. Top with rest of 6 slices. Combine eggs, vanilla, milk, and salt; blend. Pour over bread; sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover and chill for 6-8 hours or overnight in refrigerator. Place in oven before preheating, set to 350F. Bake 45-50 minutes.
