French Wolfe Toast

French Toast/Waffles/Pancakes/Crepes


Loaf of homemade French bread
4 eggs
1 C. milk
3/4 C. cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
6 T. butter
2/3 C. brown sugar
2 T. corn syrup

Grease 9x13" baking dish. Cut bread diagonally and place slices in dish. Mix egg, milk, cream, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour over bread; cover and refrigerate overnight. Next morning, preheat oven to 350F. In saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup; bring to a boil and drizzle over bread and egg mixture. Bake in preheated oven, uncovered, for 40 minutes. Serve warm with fruit.
