Sand Tarts



3 eggs
1 lb. butter, softened
4 C. flour
2 C. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
Colored sugars, finely ground nuts or non-pariels

Mix well the eggs, butter, flour, sugar and baking powder. Put in the refrigerator overnight. Form into 4 rolls approximately 2x6x7". Roll in colored sugar or nuts or non-pariels. Wrap each roll in waxed paper and put into the freezer for at least 5 hours. Take out and slice 1/4" thick. Place on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.
Yields: 6 to 7 dozen.
