Black Bottom Cupcakes



2 1/4 C. flour
1 1/2 C. sugar
3/8 C. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 C. cold water
1/2 C. vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg, beaten
1/3 C. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Filling: Mix together cream cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Stir in chocolate chips.

Cake: Mix together remaining ingredients. Fill cupcake cups half full and drop filling by teaspoonful on top of cake batter. DO NOT STIR!!!

Bake at 325F for 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
