Two-Hour Whole Wheat Bread

Breads/Muffins/Coffee Cake/Scones


3 C. warm water (115 to 120F)
3 T. yeast
3 T. oil
4 C. whole wheat flour
1/3 C. honey or molasses
1 T. salt
2 1/2 C. unbleached flour
1 C. powdered milk

Mix water, yeast, honey and oil. Add half of flours, salt and milk. Add remaining flour; stir well. Let rise for 15 minutes; knead for 10 minutes. Divide dough into 2 greased pans. Let rise 15 minutes. Bake in preheated 375F oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
