Hillside Farm Bed & Breakfast
Hillside Farm, better known by the locals as the Davis Farm, was a 30 acre working dairy farm dating back to the 1920's. The dairy closed by 1950 due to then new government regulations and sometime later the farm was restructured becoming a chicken ranch. In 1976, Gary purchased the farm. In 1989,afer much renovation, Hillside Farm began welcoming guests into the pre-Civil War farmhouse.
The main house now offers 3 guest rooms, of which 2 rooms can sleep up to 4 people. The Millenium brought the Chicken Coop and in 2003, The Stable was added. These cottages are luxury cottages meant for couples wanting to become reacquainted or the single person wanting to have days of absolute peace and quiet. They offer every creature comfort one could ask for, from two person jacuzzi and shower to the fireplace meant for cuddling up with a good book or that favorite someone.
The farmhouse has a porch and balcony for guests pleasure and each cottage has its very own deck on which to sit and listen to the waterfall of the creek while the cows provide the chorus to the musical orchestra of the creek inhabitants or the clip clop of the horses as the Amish neighbors pass by.
Hillside Farm is centrally located to Lancaster, York, Harrisburg, all within 25 minutes and only an hour away from Gettysburg....And yet...you will think you travelled a lifetime away from civilization.
