1 C. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Dash of nutmeg 1/4 C. butter 1 C. sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 2 C. sliced apples
Cream together butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. (Batter will be thick.) Stir in apples. Spread into a greased 8"x 8" pan. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until cake is done. Serve with cool whip.
